5+ years of project management experience in utility or civil construction

Strong knowledge of wet utilities, electrical, and telecom infrastructure

Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

3+ years of estimating experience in heavy civil or utility construction

Strong understanding of underground utilities (wet, electrical, telecom)

Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications

5+ years of accounting experience (construction preferred)

Strong understanding of job costing and project-based accounting

Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, etc.)

5+ years of safety experience in construction (civil/utility preferred)

Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and compliance requirements

Proven ability to lead safety initiatives across multiple jobsites

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field of study

7+ years of estimating or construction management experience

Background in takeoff and pricing of self-performed work including General Contracting: earthwork, excavation, site utilities, site, and structural concrete...

Plans/Specifications – Ability to review and understand the plans, specifications, notes, addendums, Q&A, etc.

Demonstrate strong organizational, time management and written/verbal communication skills

Ability to attend prebid meeting, take pictures and perform site measurements

Project Documentation – Follows JBCC procedures to detail, measure and document per project requirements

Submittals/Material Management – Comply with all project submittal requirements. Accurate log and track submittal status and push for approval with sense of urgency.

Relationships – Responsible to ensure collaborative team approach to all projects. This includes maintaining a positive relationship with all parties involved in the project: customer, resident engineer, foreman, construction manager, key suppliers, and key subcontractors.
