About This Project
John Burns performed electrical infrastructure and underground distribution work for UPRR at the Joliet Intermodal beginning in 2020. This project consists of medium voltage substation reconfigurations including 14 pieces of new switchgear connecting to the overhead incoming power lines.

Scope Of Work
- Installed UPRR Global 4 wiring for overhead cranes in an
active UPRR yard. - Installed new conduit and wire for overhead intermodal cranes.
- Furnished and installed high voltage cabinets and wire distribution.
- Installed over 30,000 feet of concrete ductbank and 30 manholes.
- Installation of precast concrete & fiberglass pads.
- Installation of switchgear, transformers, panels, sectionalized enclosures and high mast poles.
- Substation electric tie-in and energize system.
