About This Project
John Burns performed facility upgrades to Norfolk Southern’s Park Manor and Landers Yard Intermodal Facilities over a 10-month period. Park Manor and Landers Yard are 2 of the 4 intermodal facilities for Norfolk Southern.

Scope Of Work
- Furnished and Installed 60x70 Pre-Engineer Building. Included: Installation of 3-ton monorail crane, integrated HVAC gas detection system and fire alarm, 1” domestic water line, interior and exterior lighting, embedded trench drain & sediment pit, (2) 25’x35’ steel roll-up doors, and used oil disposal system.
- Installation of Oil Water Separator System (OWS). Included: Installation of 25’ x 45’ concrete pad, all underground piping for oil and waste water, installation of underground sewer system including 300LF of new HDPE sewer, (6) new underground structures, (4) sediment basins, (1) 4’x8’ underground grit chamber with stainless steel bar screen, (2) above ground aluminum enclosures, (2) above ground 1000 gallon oil storage tanks, underground oil water separator tank (550 gallon tank at 63rd, 3500 gallon tank at Landers), all process piping, control wiring, and panels.
- Installation of 60’ x 100’ crane pad with embedded trench drain and 25’ x 40’ diesel tank containment pad (Landers only).
