PROJECT OVERVIEW
About This Project
John Burns is performing a comprehensive boiler system upgrade at the Eugene Sawyer Water Purification Plant. The project includes the removal of the plant’s existing high-pressure steam boilers and the installation of new hydronic boilers and pumps. The scope also covers all associated piping, valves, controls, feed pumps, tanks, and electrical systems required to support the new infrastructure. Additional work includes the removal and replacement of all steam and condensate piping, installation of new radiant heaters throughout the plant, and construction of a new cast-in-place concrete enclosure to house a new exterior fuel tank. A major challenge on this project is coordinating work within limited and pre-scheduled outage windows. Close collaboration with plant management is essential to ensure critical systems remain operational throughout the construction process.
