About This Project
John Burns removed the existing HPS tunnel lighting and replaced it with 400 new LED tunnel lighting fixtures. John Burns installed a new smart PLC controller to adjust tunnel lighting intensity based on ambient lighting conditions to create a safe illuminance transition as motorists entered and exited the tunnel.

Scope Of Work
The scope of the work included the installation of over 7,000 LF of attached to structure conduit. John Burns successfully installed 400 new LED luminaires and installed over 100,000 LF of new power cables.
This project was able to be completed without interruption to lighting in the tunnel which created the safest environment for the motoring public. This project was completed without any lane closures which resulted in minimal disruption to traffic flow.
