PROJECT OVERVIEW
About This Project
John Burns replaced escalators and installed new canopies at the CTA Blue Line Irving Park and Pulaski stations without disrupting CTA service or the I-90 Kennedy Expressway. The project was completed during the COVID-19 pandemic, amid a global aluminum shortage that caused significant delays with the new canopy system. By re-phasing the work, the John Burns team minimized disruptions and successfully delivered the project on schedule.
