About This Project
John Burns Construction Company served as General Contractor for the CTA, delivering critical upgrades to seven existing relay house structures along the Dan Ryan Red Line at 23rd, 45th, 55th, 59th, 63rd, 79th, and 87th Streets. This project involved the installation of new 16KVA inverters and electrical reconfiguration to support uninterrupted transit operations and system reliability.

Scope Of Work
- Furnished and installed new DC rack systems/platforms at elevated locations
- Replace existing equipment with new (step up transformer, isolation transformer, 225A distribution panel, disconnect switch, inverter, inverter disconnect, step down transformer, non-fused disconnect)
- Reconfigured inverter AC output, signal panel, hotel power connections, and HVAC systems at all seven locations
