John Burns Construction is seeking an experienced Underground Utilities Project Manager to lead the execution of complex civil and utility projects. This role is responsible for driving performance from preconstruction through completion—ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and at the highest level of quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of underground utility construction projects
• Oversee project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation
• Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams
• Lead field operations and support superintendents
• Identify risks and proactively solve project challenges
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards
• Track project performance and maintain clear communication with leadership

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project management experience in utility or civil construction
• Strong knowledge of wet utilities, electrical, and telecom infrastructure
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Experience with project management software and reporting tools
