John Burns Construction is seeking a Senior Safety Advisor to lead and enforce safety standards across all active projects. This role is responsible for protecting our people, our partners, and our projects through proactive planning, training, and field engagement.

We are looking for someone who doesn’t just enforce safety—but builds a culture around it.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain safety programs and procedures
• Conduct jobsite safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments
• Lead safety meetings, training sessions, and onboarding programs
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and all regulatory requirements
• Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions
• Work closely with field teams to identify and eliminate hazards
• Maintain documentation and reporting for all safety-related activities

Qualifications

• 5+ years of safety experience in construction (civil/utility preferred)
• Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and compliance requirements
• Proven ability to lead safety initiatives across multiple jobsites
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Ability to operate in fast-paced, high-risk environments
